Another Quicky

Well after a stressfull weekend of unfortunate health set backs it seems everything is getting back to normal. Kim is feeling MUCH better now! I learned I can handle things around the house with a newborn for atleast 10 hours. Patsy was with Kim at the hospital so I could focus on being home with Aubrey till they got back. Thanks Patsy for all the help! Here's some more pics, sorry if a lot of these don't have open eyes....she's a sleeper!

Delivery of flowers

We had some flowers delivered... just wanted to share. Ellena and Nick sent these beautiful orchids!

The Paulson family had this pink bouqet devlivered to the hospital... nice to have some color in the room...

Grandpa Hewel had these sent to the hospital too! So Nice!

We went out for a minute yesterday to run some errands. Stopped by our friend Pauls place in Folsom so he could meet Aubrey. Here's a couple pics he took that I stole off his facebook page.

Quick update and a few more pics

Nothing too crazy to report here. Kim and I are on a schedule which seems to be working well. Aubrey I think has finally figured out day and night. She spends more time awake during the day now and sleeps well throughout the night. I think we got lucky with her! She doesn't fuss almost at all, she sleeps and sleeps and sleeps then wakes up eats hangs out for a bit and goes back to sleep. We have had a few visitors come around to visit with Aubrey. Steve, Penny and Sarah came by to visit for a bit. They all love the baby! Our friend Todd came by to meet Aubrey and brought us some delicious Thai food as well. All in all it's been a piece of cake! lol... for the most part..

Pics and Pediatrics visit

We had our first pediatric visit today and everything went great. Aubrey gained a little weight and about an inch and a half. She was 18" at birth and today she was at 19.5". I think this may be due to her being more limber or stretchy now than she was at birth but either way she's growing. Kim's doing great, looking better and feeling better every day. I need to sleep more but I either can't put her down or just find things that need to be done. I don't want to miss anything and I try and make sure Kim is getting as much rest as possible seeing as she is still the one that has the hardest job of feeding Aubrey. Here's a few more pics...look how small she is compared to my hand..

Aubrey Grace Hewel

Well the rumors are true...




Kim WAS pregnant and now we have a healthy baby girl! She was born 5:46 am March 19, 2010 @ 7 lbs and 5 ounces. Born in the Mercy Folsom hospital by an awesome group of overly nice and supportive staff. We arrived to the hospital around 1:30 am, 4 hours and 16 minutes later, after the most insane screaming, yelling and hand crushing squeezing Kimberly produced this.

After a couple days and a million different checkups on mommy and baby we were finally able to go home on Sunday around noon. Sooooo nice to be home. Kim handled everything like a pro, the baby has been a absolute joy. Patsy (kims mom) and Grammy (kims grandmother) came over, brought us some food and got to know Aubrey a bit. Jeanie ?, Diana and family came for a visit shortly after. Since then Kim and I are working on routines of sleeping , feeding, changing diapers, cooking food, cleaning etc. etc. etc. Can't say it's not challenging but as long as Kim does all the hard stuff I get to do all the cuddling...hehehe..
